Remove the coin tray and button assembly by removing the Phillips screw.
Gently pull on the assembly to release.
Remove the power mirror control button by pressing down the three retaining clips.
To access the light bulb, push in on the four retaining clips on the button assembly and pull out. You will see the stock light bulb mounted on the circuit board.
Remove the stock bulb by heating up the solder on both leads and using solder braid to remove the solder. Pull out the stock bulb and replace with the LED bulb. Make sure to note which lead is the anode and which is the cathode. Bend both the anode and cathode leads 90° outwards at the base. Cut off excess on the cathode lead leaving enough to reach the solder joint on the circuit board. Solder the cathode lead. Bend and route the anode lead as illustrated. The picture on the right is the same as the one on the left, except there is color markings on it to help you. Solder the resistor between the + contact on the circuit board and the anode lead. Be sure not to route anything in in the drawn green square. If you do, it may interfere with the button operation.
 
*Important!*
- While soldering or using the de-soldering braid, do not hold the soldering iron to
the LED lead, resistor, solder joint or the braid for more
than 2 seconds. If the solder does not make a good
contact, wait until it cools before heating it up again.
If you hold the soldering iron on the solder joint too
long, the resistor and or the LED will become useless.
The resistor will go out before the LED will, so make
sure you have some extra resistors.
