| Follow the steps in the Climate Control Install Guide [Here] to remove the climate control.

Remove the back cover of the climate control casing by removing 5 screws. Then remove the circuit board, it should come right out

Now with two flathead screwdrivers, remove the defrost button. Be careful when you remove it. There is a lip that goes under the button and a couple of tabs. So it will take some coercing to remove.

Once removed, the back of the button should easily slide out from the climate control casing. In the back half of the button, you will see a blue filter (Small plastic piece). Remove the filter

The filter will serve as a base for the red LED assembly. On one side of the filter, cover it with black electrical tape to prevent the red light to "leak" into the rest of the climate control area. Next, cut a small hole on the edge of the filter to allow the wires to be fed to the back of the button (See Picture).

Use Mono Adhesive to secure the LED assembly onto the center of the filter.

Feed the connectors from the LED assembly through back half of the button. They should exit through the backside through a hole on one side.
*BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THE THIN WIRES, THEY ARE EASILY BROKEN. *

Now put the filter back in its original spot.

Place the button back into the climate control casing.

With one hand holding the back of the button in place, slide the lip on top half of the button under the rear window defrost button that is to the right (blue arrow). Then completely secure it to the back half of the button.

Place the circuit board back in the climate control casing. Allow enough extra wire under the circuit board so there is not stretching or pinching either of the wires.

Now to get power to this LED, we will have to solder the wires to one of the LEDs that we converted. The blue wire will be soldered to the negative (-) side, and the red wire will be soldered to the positive (+) side (on the contact side of the resistor. You do not need to strip the wire as the solder is hot enough to melt the coating around the wire.

Replace the screws that secure the back of the casing. Do not over tighten.
